Account Verification
Once a player makes an aggregate lifetime total of deposits exceeding EUR 2000, or requests a withdrawal, they must complete a full Account Verification (KYC) process.
Account Verification allows us to ensure that a player’s account is secure, and that they are who they say they are. This allows us to make sure that the player is over 18 and playing with their own funds.
This is a necessary step to meet our strict licensing obligations, which require transparent and confidential records, allowing us to make ReefSpins safer for all players.
How to Verify Your Account
Verifying your account is a simple process that should only take a few minutes to complete. Players will need to input some basic details about themselves and upload specified documentation that will allow us to confirm both your identity and age.
To submit your documents:
- Log into your ReefSpins Account
- Navigate to your Account section and click Verification
- Upload the necessary documents
- Done!
After submitting your documents, they will be processed by our Security Team within 24 hours. Do note that submissions made during the weekend may take longer to process.
What Documents are Needed?
3 types of documents must be submitted for the account to be verified. These are as follows:
1. Proof of ID
One photo ID (must include date of birth and name), such as:
- National ID Card
- Driving License
- Passport
2. Proof of Residence
One address verification document – no older than 3 months:
- Utility Bill
- Bank Statement
- Official letter (e.g. council letter)
3. Selfie with ID
In order to verify your identity, we will need a photograph of yourself holding your proof of ID.
Ensure that the document being held is the same Proof of ID that is submitted.
Once uploaded, the player will receive a ‘Temporarily Approved’ status while the documents are inspected on our side. When the player’s account is ‘Temporarily Approved’ they:
- Can use the platform normally
- Cannot deposit more than an aggregate total of EUR 500
- Cannot complete any withdrawal.
Our KYC Team will have 24 hours to go over the documents and email the user about the outcome:
- Approval
- Rejection
- More information needed – No change in status
Advice on Document Submission
Please ensure that all uploaded images are clear, and that all parts are easy to read.
Correct:

The document is clear, sharp, and all details are visible.
Incorrect:
The entire document must be fully visible, with no corners cut. It must be submitted in colour.

All personal information must be visible (unedited), readable, and not covered at all.
Ensure that the information is not mirrored upon submission.
What Happens if Verification is Unsuccessful?
If, unfortunately, the account verification is unsuccessful, then the reason is documented and a support ticket is created in our system. The ticket number and an explanation for the rejection will be communicated to the user.
Once all proper documents are in our possession, then the account will be approved.
